If you're reading this, chances are that you are already familiar with The Trendwatch. For the ones who never attended one of our keynote presentation, The Trendwatch is a compilation of new media strategies, marketing concepts and creations, subjectively selected and crafted with love by a team of curious Fullsix-ers around the world (well, that would be Europe + USA + China).
Since this document has been greatly appreciated by both our co-workers and clients, we've decided to bridge the gap between each issue and start a blog that would allow us to share the industry news, trends, links, numbers that caught our attention.
Please do not hesitate to send us your feedback and topics that you would like us to talk about. Or just to say that you enjoy reading us, we love to receive encouragement words!Ok, now let me introduce you the current TWd team. And a big thanks and hello to the initial contributors that do not work with us anymore!
CARMEN MARTIN, London
Carmen comes from one of the most amazing countries on Earth, the land of everything great that ends in 'A' (Sangria, Movida, Paella, Zara, La Macarena...) where she studied Advertising & Marketing and got her Masters in Communication Management. She has lived and breathed digital ever since she started working at Yahoo and MRM in Madrid, then Ogilvy One in London. In the past 2 years she has been a member of the Fullsix Group, first for P&G and recently as the Digital Marketing and Trends coordinator, making sure that both internal staff and clients are on track of the fast changing digital sphere.
Carmen is a frustrated artist, she has a passion for all things beautifully artistic but realizes there is a slight flaw in that she can't draw, dance, sing...and that's why she decided to pursue a life in a creative world of a different type. Outside New Oxford Street, Carmen loves good food, BMW cars, traveling around the world, the iPhone (even though she still doesn't have one!!!), shopping shopping shopping and most importantly spending time with her friends and family.
DAMON CREPIN-BURR, Paris

Damon loves best smartphones, surfing, TV series, all kind of pasta, creativity, laughing, the apple touch, his sister, working at FullSIX as a Creative Partner, good restaurants with his friends, web 2.0 services that end with an 'r' (Flickr, Dopplr, Blogger, Tumblr, Twitter,...), minimal techno music, studying social trends, German cars, Wired magazine, traveling, meeting new people, his team at agence7seven. He hates old-fashioned advertising.
DESMOND HEWAGAMA, London
Desmond is a multimedia designer with his finger on both online design and the technical development pulse. After graduating Huddersfield University with a degree in multimedia and virtual reality design, he has gone on to work with many well know brands in a variety of diverse sectors. Having a interest in both interactive creativity and technology he has built a reputation of being a trouble shooter, and has worked as a senior multimedia designer in Fullsix London for three years. When not staring at his two 22inch monitors, he enjoys the lights, sounds and alcohol that London has to offer. And even though many of his Fullsix colleges claim to be the best at foosball he is the true king of the table!
JON HOFFMAN, New York
Jonathan was born and raised in upstate New York which explains his knowledge on spring water and lawn care. When he was in university he left upstate and went to the island of Japan where he somehow learned the native language while studying design and adapting to the small environment. If you ever spoke with him he would eventually say "In Japan..." and share some random fact. Jon is a designer at Fullsix NY.
LUIS FREITAS, Lisbon

Luis learned how to use a keyboard before he could ride a bike. He cries with videogames, writes poetry in his blog and is a certified proud Geek. After the long years inside his monitor-lit bedroom, he's a Consultant at Sixandco for the Samsung, Reckitt Benckiser and Cetelem accounts. A weight and nutrition fanatic, he's the Master of his very own Youniverse. You'll always find him digging around or checking the newest Japanese RPGs on the Web.
MANUEL FAISCO, Lisbon
Manuel is passionate about the Web, ever since he bought his first Internet Access when he received his first salary back in 1995. He was influenced by his older brother, a pioneer Portuguese user in Telnet and BBS'. He's been working at DMC Portugal for almost 2 years now, but he's been planning Internet advertising campaigns since 1999. When he's not online, Manuel enjoys riding MTB on the countryside, bodyboarding, taking pictures of street/urban art for his geo-tagged graffiti Flickr project and making wood sculptures, using objects he finds outdoors as ornaments.
MATT MONIHAN, New York
Born and raised in West Philadelphia, Matt Monihan spent most of his days on the playground. He enjoys chilling out, maxin, relaxing all cool, and occasionally shooting some b-ball. Outside of school he met a couple of guys and helped start take247.com and started making trouble on the internets. He wanted to learn more (and his mom got scared) and said "I'm moving to New York to start an internship with Fullsix".
Each morning he whistles for a cab and pulls up to the office about quarter to ten. He pays his fare and yells to the cabbie "Yo home! Smell ya later." Looks up at the building on West 19th street. He's finally there and settles in his chair as an intern in New York.
OLIVIER PEYRE, New York

Olivier constantly checks his facebook feed of friends' updates on his cellphone: he's a social nerd. After few years in print design, he fell in love with the interactive world and was hired in 2002 as an Art Director for Fullsix Paris where he worked mainly on Biotherm and Powerade. Then he was sent to the other side of the Atlantic Ocean to help open the FullSIX New York office where he is in charge of several L'Oréal Group brands. Olivier also enjoys walking around with his camera to feed his flickr.
THOMAS SARLANDIE, Paris

Thomas was born too late to see the beginning of computing, he grew up with the Internet. His various ongoing hobbies such as opensource hacking, role-playing and robotics gave him his geek background. He likes to spend what is left of his free time learning new bits of knowledge, listening to Dylan, or discovering new cultures. After many years of learning through others experience, he is now working hard at Backelite to leave his own trail in the mobile revolution.
ZOE ROMANO, Milan
Zoe is a copywriter and concept designer. She earned a degree in philosophy but her passion for computers made her win a scholarship for a geek master in Media Science and Technology. She has worked in webvertising since 1999, when she also became involved in media activism and graphic agitation. More in general, interaction design, web culture, social memes, digital commons, guerrilla marketing, political iconology, graphic bits and electro beats are among her favorite subjects of interest. She enjoys exploring her neighborhood with her vintage film cameras.
