Are We Finally Entering The Golden Age Of Online Advertising?

Every year we look forward to Mary Meeker’s Internet Trends. In usual fashion, 2010′s report is packed with useful data and insightful analysis.

One data point that captured our attention is the the disparity between Media Time Spent vs Ad Spend. It’s still out of whack. Advertisers dedicate only 13 percent of their budgets to the medium that attracts 28 percent of people’s entertainment time.

As advertisers rush to seize this $50 billion opportunity, will we look at 2010 as the year we finally entered the golden age of online advertising or will spending remain out of whack?
