Every year, Google mines billions of search queries to compile its lists of most-popular queries, to get a glimpse of what’s been on our collective consciousness. We learn that “iPhone” was the fastest rising search worldwide, that American Idol is the #1 topic in Google News, that Heroes is more popular than Lost, that the lyrics of the summer anthem Umbrella are the most looked for, Pilates the top Fitness term, that “How to kiss” is the most “How-to” question asked in the United States. Google’s #1 answer to that?
