Papervision 3D starting to make an impact

Papervision 3d and full screen flash is starting to make an impact online. Just thought I would drop a quick link in to show a cool exploitation of this technology. A great site for Brahma beer in Russia makes excellent use of the Papervision 3D engine and allows you to create your own 3D model of a VW Camper. It is the first really engaging and entertaining use of the technology I have seen so far. I’m sure we will see an increasing use of this technology as it allows users to interact in a new and different way.

Do you know of any other sites using Papervision 3D well? Let me know in the comments.

Paper Critters is a great online application for creating and sharing 3D paper toys.

It’s a very polished piece of work, from the 3D views using Papervision3D to display content created in 3DS Max, to the interface design, including little details like the sound and ambient music.

Designed and developed in San Francisco by JR Fabito, as his final project at the Academy of Art University, MFA Computer Arts New Media program.
